The State Government of Uttarakhand has introduced Farmer Pension Scheme for the welfare of farmers. This scheme provides monthly financial assistance to the eligible farmers of Uttarakhand State. In this article, we look at the Uttarakhand Farmer Pension Scheme in detail.
Benefits of the Scheme
India is an agriculture nation where more than 70% of people depend upon agriculture. Hence, it is said that agriculture is a backbone for India. This scheme will enable the farmers to avail pension and make their life peaceful and better. The farmers will get a pension of Rs. 1000 every month under this scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should be a farmer and a resident of the State of Uttarakhand. The scheme eligibility age is 60, which means that applicants 60 and over are eligible. Besides, the farmer should have 2 hectares of land (near about 4 acres) and must cultivate their land.
Note:- The applicant should not be covered under any pension schemes.
Required Documents
The following are required documents to apply for Farmer Pension Scheme:
- Passport size photo
- Aadhar Card
- Land record
- Bank account details
- Affidavit on stamp paper of Rs.10 for land
Application Procedure
To join in this Farmer Pension Scheme, the applicant should follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Please visit the home page of Social Welfare Department
Step 2: Click on “Applications forms for various pension and grant schemes” option located to the right of the web portal.
Step 3: On the next page click on “Farmer Pension Scheme ” option and download the application form in PDF format.

Step 5: Duly filled application form should be submitted to the Social Welfare Department of Uttarakhand or agriculture officer in the district/Taluka.
Note:- The State Government of Uttarakhand has introduced the facility to send the SMS alerts to the beneficiary’s registered mobile number to check that the pension amount is deposited into their bank account.
