Procedure

Step 6: Click on ‘I Confirm that’ (please note that you confirm the points mentioned therein) by clicking the same. Step 7: Click on ‘Generate Aadhaar OTP’. A One-Time Password will be sent to the registered mobile number. Step 8: Enter the OTP received. Step 9: Validate the Aadhaar details. On successful submission of all the details, an acknowledgement number will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number and e-mail ID. The applicant needs to follow the below steps to check the status or download the allotted PAN: Step 1: Visit the Income tax e-filing website. Step 2: Click the ‘Instant PAN through Aadhaar’ icon on the left-hand side under Quick Links. Step 3: Click the ‘Check Status / Download PAN’ icon. Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number. Step 5: Enter Captcha and click submit. If the PAN is allotted, it can be downloaded by following the above steps. The applicant would also receive the PAN in PDF format through e-mail ID (if registered with UIDAI).
