MSME SAMPARK

MSME SAMPARK is a digital platform that enables jobseekers (passed out trainees/students of 18 MSME Technology Centres) to gain employment. It also helps recruiters (reputed national and multinational companies) in getting the appropriate manpower. The double-edged initiative, which was introduced on the 27th of June 2018, is envisaged to bridge the skill-gap between talent pool and enterprises and thereby resolve the unemployment issues in the country. This article covers the procedure for enrolling into this portal.

The Rationale Behind the Launch

The move is aimed at aiding small businesses and entrepreneurs in finding and recruiting a person with the relevant experience and skill-set. It also seeks to aid those jobseekers who may find it difficult to match their skill sets with respect to the role, position, requisite experience, monetary expectation, location and industry verticals, given the parameters to be matched in a limited opportunities map.

Guidelines for Recruiters and Candidates

MSME SAMPARK is not too different in its terms of usage when compared to other job portals, though its purpose varies. Here’s an overview of how it works:

For Recruiters

Recruiters are required to register into the portal with the essential information and update their profile. In the event of any impediments in the process, they may contact the centre to expedite registration on their behalf. The contact centre may also be approached for job postings without self-registration, upon which the necessary assistance will be rendered through registration and job postings. The recruiter may search the candidate before registration but not contact them.

For Candidates

As is the case with recruiters, the candidates are also required to register into the portal by specifying the essential information and updating their profiles. Candidates with incorrect credentials/data feeding would be denied access to the portal. Again, candidates may conduct their job search without registration, but cannot contact the employer without registering into the portal.

Recruiter Registration

The recruiters may get their registration done through the portal by furnishing the following details:

Company Details

  • Name
  • Office URL
  • Location
  • Email ID
  • Contact Number
  • Sector of Operation
  • Type of Document
  • Document Number

Note – the email ID of the company will be the username for login purposes after registration.

Details of Nodal Officer

  • Name
  • Email ID
  • Contact Number

Job Seeker Registration

Job seekers may complete their registration to the portal by furnishing their details, which include:

  • First Name
  • Middle Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Contact Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category of Caste
  • Whether physically challenged/abled

Apart from this, the candidate is required to declare, by ticking in the declaration box, stating that the details mentioned by him/her are correct. In case of any discrepancies with the same, it may stand cancelled.

How has it Fared?

The initiative has thus far led to the placement of 2,239 candidates. Its recruiter portfolio currently averages above 5,000, with the number of job seekers nearing the 5,00,000 mark.
