
Mukhyamantri Abhinav Krishi Yantrapati Samman Yojana
The Central Government has announced that it is necessary to bring development in the lives of the agricultural workers in Odisha. Since the country depends on the agricultural produce to feed its citizens, it is mandatory that proper schemes are designed to enhance the lives of the farmers and the agricultural sectors. As a part of this, the Government officials have announced a project called Mukhyamantri Abhinav Krishi Yantrapati Samman Yojana. The scheme was launched on May 2018, under the supervision of the Agriculture and farmers empowerment Minister of Odisha. This article takes a closer look at the features of the scheme.Overview of the Scheme
The scheme launched by Odisha Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Minister is aimed at rewarding farmers who have developed and used innovative agriculture equipment that elevates the process of establishing agro-industries and that results in providing subsidies. Under this scheme, the Government rewards 101 farmers with the inclusion of 11 farmers at the State level and 90 farmers at the district level, every year with a cash reward for their innovative tools that are used for farming.Highlights of the Scheme
The major highlights of the scheme are given below.- Agricultural and farmer development: These projects are designed and developed by the Odisha State Government for the betterment and development of agriculture and the agricultural labours.
- Financial rewards: Under the Mukhyamantri Abhinav Krishi Yantrapati Samman Yojana, the officials select several farmers at the state and district levels and offer them financial rewards. These rewards are given for implementing innovations in the farming process.
- The total number of beneficiaries: The cash prizes will be offered to 101 agricultural workers. The state picks 90 farmers from all the districts, and 11 top farmers will be selected for their contributions and innovations.
- Cash prize/ rewards: The top three farmers will be given financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh, Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 1 lakh respectively. All other selected farmers will get financial aid of Rs. 15,000 under the scheme.
- District and State level awards: There are several enterprising farmers in the villages who are inventing innovative farm tools and utilise it in the fields. The Government selects such talented farmers at the state and district levels and provides them with financial assistance. The Government focuses on the implementation of new and innovative farming methods for agriculture.
Benefits of the Scheme
Al farmers who invent innovative tools and implements it and are honoured can set up their manufacturing unit or company. The scheme makes sure that all such companies are registered under the Startup Odisha Initiative. The system enables the farmers to get a monthly allowance or product development allowance. The primary aim of the scheme is to help the innovators and to provide them with financial assistance. The Government is also planning to offer help and legal support to farmers. A State Government financial assistance of Rs. 20,000 per month will be given to all the registered farmers that are mentioned under the Startup Odisha Initiative. In addition to this, if a farmer desires to further improvise their innovative tools and implements it, then the government can provide assistance to them up to Rs. 15 lakh.Allocated Rewards
At the state level, three first prizes each carrying a cash reward of Rs. 2 lakh, three-second prises of Rs. 1.5 lakh each and five third prizes of Rs. 1 lakh each would be awarded. In the district level, 90 farmers would be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 each for their innovative work.Application Procedure
Given below are the application procedure to apply for Mukhyamantri Abhinav Krishi Yantrapati Samman Yojana. Step 1: Approach the Centre The applicant has to approach the nearest centre. Step 2: Obtain the application form The applicant has to obtain the application form by remitting the required fee. Step 3: Enter the Details The applicant has to enter the details in the application form.
