Social Justice Department of Government of Haryana has launched Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme in the year 2017. Under this social welfare scheme, the Government provides financial assistance in the form of monthly pension to senior citizens in Haryana State. In this article, we will look at Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme application procedure and old age pension beneficiary list in detail.
Objective of the Old Age Pension Scheme
The key objective of this pension scheme is to provide social security to a senior citizen of the state who is unable to sustain themselves from their resources. Financial assistance under this scheme provides better livelihood to senior citizen and make their life easy.
Rate of Allowance or Pension
The Government provides a monthly pension amount of Rs.1,800 for all eligible old age citizens.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for receiving a monthly pension under the Old Age Samman Allowance scheme is described here:
- Applicant must be a domicile of Haryana
- Applicant age should be 60 years or more
- Senior citizen annual income from all sources together with that of his or her spouse does not exceed Rs.2,00,000
Excluded Category
If a person is receiving a pension from Government, Statutory Body or any organization substantially financed by any Government will not be eligible to receive a pension under this scheme.
The person receiving provident funds or annuities from any source including Commercial Banks, Financial Institutions or Insurance are also not eligible for this pension.

The documents required for applying Old Age Samman allowance scheme is listed as follows:
- Identity Proof – Aadhaar Card
- Age Proof Certificate – Birth Certificate or Mark sheet
- Address Proof – BPL Ration Card
- Bank Account Details
- Income Certificate
- Domicile Certificate
- Photograph of the applicant
Applying for Old Age Samman Allowance through SJD
Follow the guidelines given here for applying Samman Allowance Scheme in Haryana.
Step 1: Fill the application form provide all mandatory details:
- Name
- Father’s Name
- Date of Birth
- Address with Pin code
- The annual income of the family
- Mobile Number
Step 2: Affix recent passport size photograph on the application.
Step 3: Submit the application along with all required documents to the concerned Social Justice Department in Haryana.
Once the application has been approved by the concerned authority, the applicant will be provided with a beneficiary ID. All the eligible beneficiaries will start to receive the allowance or pension amount. The pension amount will be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Applying for Old Age Samman Allowance through Atal Seva Kendra
Old age citizen of Haryana can submit the application for Old Age Samman Allowance at nearby Atal Seva Kendra (ASK). Provide all the documents to ASK the operating person. The service centre person will forward the application to the concerned authority for verification.
Step 2: Click on आधार/पैंशन आई.डी./खाता संख्या से पैंशन विवरण देखें (Track Beneficiary Pension Details) option from the menu. By clicking on this option, the page will redirect to the next page.
Step 3: Enter beneficiary ID and security code shown on the page.
Step 2: In the new page, pensioner needs to provide the following details.
- जिला / District
- क्षेत्र / Area
- खण्ड / नगरपालिका / Block / Municipality
- गाँव / वार्ड / सेक्टर / Village / Ward / Sector
- पैंशन का नाम / Pension Type
- छांटने का क्रम / Sort Order
Step 3: After providing all details, click on लाभार्थी सूची देखें / View Beneficiary List option.
Pensioner Name, Beneficiary ID, Aadhaar Number, Pension Amount will be displayed on the screen. The beneficiary can find their name from this Beneficiaries list.
