
Madhya Pradesh Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana
Schedule Caste Development Department of Madhya Pradesh has launched Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana in the year 2019. The primary objective of this scheme is to promote communal harmony and encouraging inter-caste marriages in the state. As part of this scheme, the Government provides financial assistance to inter-caste married couples. The objective of Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana is to promote communal harmony by encouraging people for an inter-caste marriage to eliminate caste discrimination in Madhya Pradesh. An amount of Rs. 2.5 lakh is provided as financial assistance to the inter-caste married couples. Half of the incentive amount will be directly transferred to the joint account of the couple immediately after marriage, and the balance amount will be given after one year of cohabitation of the couples.Eligibility Criteria
Following eligibility criteria should be met to avail the benefits of MP Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana:- Couples should be the citizen of India.
- Permanent Resident of Madhya Pradesh can only apply for this scheme
- This scheme has been launched for schedule caste family in Madhya Pradesh. To avail the benefits, it is mandatory for a groom or a bride to be scheduled caste, and the other one should be a non-schedule caste.
- The financial assistance under the scheme will be given only for the first marriage. It should be the first marriage to both the bride and groom.
Prescribed Authority
The prescribed authority for the Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana is District Coordinator or Assistant Commissioner, Tribal Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh. The bride or groom should submit a petition to the District Magistrate to claim the benefits of this scheme.Documents Required
All the applicants who want to avail the financial assistance under the MP Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana will have to submit the following documents:- Bride groom’s photograph
- Bride’s photograph
- Joint photograph of the inter-caste married couples
- Marriage certificate issued by District Magistrate (Civil marriage) in case of Civil Marriage or Registered Certificate from Tehsil or Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) under Hindu Marriage Act 1955
- Court marriage certificate in case the marriage is solemnised in court
- Caste certificate of couples
- Domicile certificate/Residence certificate of couples
- Age Proof - Birth Certificate or SSLC book
- Bank Account Book – Joint account of inter-caste married couples

Step 2: From this home page, select the inter-caste marriage option from the online service section.

Payment of Grant
Once the sanction is issued, fifty percent of the financial assistance will be deposited in the Joint account of the couple. The remaining amount will be kept as a fixed deposit in a joint account of the couples in a nationalised bank with a lock-in period of 1 year with no-premature encashment facility. After one-year, the couples can withdraw the remaining amount to lead a better life.Related Guides
