Applicable Fee

For processing Himachal Pradesh minority certificate, a service charge of Rs.7 needs to be paid.

Prescribed Authority

Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh is the concerned department for the issuance of minority certificate. The applicant requesting for the Himachal Pradesh minority certificate have to apply to the Tahsildar or Sub-Divisional Officer and of the concerned district which is the prescribed authority.

Documents Required for Himachal Pradesh Minority Certificate

The following documents have to be submitted for obtaining Himachal Pradesh Minority Certificate.

  • Domicile certificate or any other proof of residency.
  • Proof of identity (Aadhaar card / Ration Card)
  • Minority certificate of father or any supporting evidence of caste/affidavit by the applicant or parent instead of the certificate.
  • Patwari Report (details of land income)
  • Genealogical Table (to be attached with patwari report)
  • Passport size photo of the applicant

Applying Minority Certificate through Lok Mitra Kendra

Procedure for applying Himachal Pradesh minority certificate through Lok Mitra Kendra  is described in detailed step by step procedure below:

Step 1: Applicant needs to access the nearest Lok Mitra Kendra for applying the Himachal Pradesh minority certificate.

Submit an Application

Step 2: The applicant has to furnish an application in prescribed format along with documents for minority certificate at Lok Mitra Kendra. Provide personal details aspects of education, the purpose of applying for Minority Certificate,  and all other information.

Fee Payment

Step 3: You have to pay the applicable fee to the Jan Seva Kendra operator for processing minority certificate and issue the same. Get acknowledgement slip with application number from Jan Seva Kendra operator. Note this application number for future reference.

Minority Certificate Processing

Step 4: The request for Himachal Pradesh minority certificate will be processed online through the Revenue department. HP Minority certificate application status will be updated through SMS to the registered mobile number.

Step 5: The concerned authority (Tahsildar) will process the minority certificate application online, and after successful verification, the prescribed authority will approve the minority certificate request and take action for issuing Himachal Pradesh Minority certificate.

Once the request for this minority certificate is accepted, an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number as the application has been approved.

Procedure to apply for Himachal Pradesh Minority certificate through online e-District Portal is explained in detail below:

Access e-District Portal

Step 1: The applicant should visit the official website of e-District Portal for Himachal Pradesh to apply minority certificate online.

Step 2: Click Revenue Department under the List of Services that appears on the left side of the main page.

Step 3: The list displays various services available in the e-District portal. Click Minority Community Certificate, which directs to the Login page to apply.

New User Registration

Step 4: In case of a new user, Click on New Registration option. The registration page of the e-District portal appears.

Step 5: Provide the necessary details mentioned below and click on submit.

  • Applicant Details
  • Address Details
  • Registration Details
  • Upload Photo
  • Enter Captcha

Step 6: After providing details click on Register option. The user ID and password will be updated through the mobile number.

Login to Portal

Step 7: If you are already registered user of this portal you can use the “login’ option from the home page to log in and apply for Minority certificate. Enter the credentials and select user type as Citizen Login and click on submit button.

Process with Minority Certificate Service

Step 8: After login to the portal, provide all details for Himachal Pradesh minority certificate. After entering details, click on save and next button.

Step 9: In the next page, you will have to attach the copy of all the supporting documents as mentioned above.

Step 10: After uploading the supporting documents successfully, you will have to select the checkbox of declaration and click on the submit option to submit the minority certificate application.

Make Payment

Step 11: After successful submission of your application you can take the print of minority certificate application form and proceed further with the payment. There are two payment options:

  • Using E-Wallet
  • Using Gateway

Step 12: Select the payment option and click on the “Send OTP” Button to make payment. A onetime password will be sent to your mobile.

Step 13: After entering the one-time password click on the “Confirm” Button to complete the payment process.

Step 14: After a successful payment, a receipt will be generated, and the task will be redirected to the concerned authority login.

Note: Kindly keep this reference number; it can be used for further reference.

Status of Application

After successful submission of application, the applicant doesn’t need to visit nearest Jan Seva Kendra /ATVT centre to verify the document. The applicant will get an SMS for the status of Himachal Pradesh Minority certificate application. The applicant can also track application status from the e-District portal home page.

Enter the application number and click on search button, Minority certificate status will be displayed.

Verify the ROR-1B

Once the applicant’s minority certificate request is accepted, an SMS will be sent to registered mobile number as the application has been approved. You can also verify the Telangana Himachal Pradesh Minority certificate through the e-District portal.

Select Service name from the drop-down menu, enter Captcha code and click on search button.

Get Himachal Pradesh Minority Certificate

Once the concerned authority approves the request, the minority certificate will be digitally signed. The approved document will be forwarded through registered mail ID.
