Ladli Social Security Allowance Scheme

Social Justice Department of Government of Haryana has launched Ladli Social Security Allowance Scheme in the year 2017. Under this social welfare scheme, the Government provides financial assistance in the form of monthly allowance for the families having only girl child in Haryana state. Objective of Ladli Scheme

The key objective of the Ladli scheme is explained in detail below:

  • Curbing gender-selective abortion by enhancing the worth of the girl child
  • To improve school enrolment by providing education to the girl child
  • To reduce girl child school dropout rate

Ladli Scheme Allowance

The enrolment of families under the Ladli scheme will commence from the 45th birthday of the either of the parents whoever is older. This will continue till father/mother attain 60 years that is the allowance will be provided for 15 years. After 60 years, parents will be eligible for the Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme. In case of the death of father or mother, the surviving partner will get this benefit until they turn 60 years. The benefit will be paid to the mother if surviving. In case the mother is not surviving, the benefit will be paid to the father. As stated above, after that, he or she will be eligible for the Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme.

Rate of Allowance or Pension

The Government provides a monthly allowance amount of Rs.1,800 for all eligible families who are having an only girl child.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any family where biological single parent or parents are the residents of Haryana having no son, biological or adopted, but having only daughters are eligible to avail the benefits
  • Parent or Parents who are working for Government of Haryana and having no son, biological or adopted, having only daughters can apply for Ladli scheme
  • The gross annual income from all sources of the family must not exceed Rs.2,00,000 for availing the benefits under this social security

Excluded Category

Parents receiving any other pension from Government or Statutory Body or any other organization substantially financed by any Government will not be eligible to receive a pension under this scheme. If a person is receiving provident funds (PF) or annuities from any source including Financial Institutions, Commercial Banks or Insurance are also not eligible for getting benefits under this scheme.

Applying for Ladli Social Security Allowance Scheme through SJD

An eligible beneficiary can apply for Ladli scheme through Atal Seva Kendra. Parent of eligible families in Haryana can submit the application for Ladli Social Security Allowance Scheme at nearby Atal Seva Kendra. Furnish all the documents to ASK the operating person. The service centre person will forward the application to the concerned authority for verification. Status of the application and beneficiary ID will be sent to the registered mobile number. Once the application has been verified and approved by the respective authority, the Ladli scheme pension amount will be directly credited to the parent’s account.
