Calculate Stamp Duty Online
To generate e-stamp Certificate in Himachal Pradesh, you have to ascertain stamp duty and registration charges at first. You can calculate stamp duty for a property registration through online duty calculator available in Himachal Revenue Department.
Step 1: To get the applicable stamp duty and registration fee, visit the duty calculator page of HP Revenue department webpage.
Step 2: You need to select deed type from the drop-down menu for registration.
Step 3: You have to select the following details for calculating the applicable stamp duty and registration charges.

Step 4: After furnishing the details, enter captcha code shown and click on the Proceed button.
Step 5: Upon clicking on Proceed option, the page will redirect to a new page, where you have to select the category type.
Note: Circle rate will be varied concerning categories
Step 6: Provide details of Area Being Transacted. Market rate will be calculated based on these values.
Step 7: Enter percentage of Female Share (if any). On the basis of the share details, actual Stamp Duty will be calculated.
Step 8: Enter the transaction amount, Duty will be chargeable on the Market value or Consideration Amount whichever is greater
Stamp Duty will be calculated automatically after providing all details. Note the stamp duty amount; it needs to be paid for obtaining e-Stamp certificate.

Submit an Application
Step 1: Approach the nearest Central Record Keeping Agency or Authorised Collection (ACC).

Step 4: Once the payment for stamp duty is successful; the Himachal Pradesh e-Stamp Certificate will be generated and issued immediately.
Step 5: In the case of payment made via Cheque/DD, you will get a receipt from the counter. Upon crediting the amount to the CRA account, the applicant can get the Himachal Pradesh e-Stamp Certificate from the concerned counter.
Step 6: After obtaining the debit confirmation from the concerned bank, visit concerned counter; submit the transaction reference provided by the bank along with duly filled the e-Stamp certificate application form to get the e-Stamp certificate.

Verify Himachal Pradesh e-Stamp Certificate
For verifying Himachal Pradesh e-Stamp Certificate, you need to access the home page of the SHCIL web page. From the main page click on verify e-Stamp certificate option. The link will move to the new page.
In the main page, select the state like Himachal Pradesh from the drop-down menu and provide following details for verification.
- Certificate Number
- Certificate Issued Date
- Stamp Duty Type
By clicking the verify button, details of e-stamp certificate will be displayed.
You can also verify the Certificate – via a barcode scanner. Provide the given alphanumeric string for verification. By clicking the verify button, details of e-stamp certificate will be displayed.
Note: The existing system for payment of stamp duty by stamp papers through treasury or stamp vendors will become available. The payment of stamp duty via franking will also be available.
