
E-Medhabruti
Medhabruti or e-Medhabruti is an online scholarship scheme for students awarded by the Odisha Government every year. The Higher Education Department of the Government have been granting this to the deserving students, assisting them to pursue their studies and realize their dreams. E-Medhabruti Eligibility Criteria
Junior Merit (for + 2 Students)
To be eligible for this scholarship, the aspirant should have a minimum score of 60% marks in Grade 10. CBSE/ICSE grading system shall be converted to respective percentage. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed 6.0 lakhs.Senior Merit for +3 Students (for B.A, B.Sc. & B.Com. Only)
Candidate should have secured 60% in 12th Board to be qualified for this scholarship. CBSE/ICSE grading system shall be converted to respective percentage. Annual income limit should be 6.0 lakhs.Technical & Professional
Qualifying mark should be 60% in final exam of 12th Board or in +3 equivalent examinations to avail this scholarship. Annual income ceiling of the candidate’s parents must not exceed 6.0 lakhs.P.G. Merit (Post Graduate) Scholarship (for M.A, M.Sc. & M.Com. Only)
The applicant should have an aggregate of 60% in the final result. Parent’s annual income should not exceed 6.0 lakhs. M.Phil and Ph.D., students are ineligible under PG merit.Applying for Medhabruti Scholarship?
Medhabruti also called as E-medhabruti accepts application though online mode only. By visiting the official website of the Higher Education Department, candidates can fill the application form and are supposed to retain a printout of the filled form for future reference. Steps to fill the Medhabruti application form are described below. STEP 1: Scholarship Information – From the given options, the type of scholarship to be availed must be selected.

- Domicile Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Character Certificate
- Income Certificate, etc
Mode of Payment of Medhabruti Scholarship
The payment shall be made through Electronic Credit System (ECS) for which the candidate should hold an active Savings Bank account for the scholarship to be credited. In case of students not receiving the scholarship amount in any financial year for some reasons, payment shall be made in the successive financial year.Limitations of Medhabruti scholarship
- A student is not eligible for this scholarship if he/she is already a recipient of any State/Central Government scholarship.
- The technical / professional scholarship does not cover students pursuing Diploma level courses.
- Multiple registrations by a student are strictly restricted. Indulgence of such activity shall lead to the rejection of his/her application.
- This scholarship is not applicable for students pursuing distance learning.
- Annual income limit of the candidate's parents should not exceed 6.0 lakhs.
