Viklang Pension Yojana
The government of Uttar Pradesh has launched Viklang Pension Yojana in the year 2016. Under this scheme, the Government provides financial assistance in the form of pension to the disabled persons in the state. In this article, we look at the Viklang Pension Yojana scheme in detail.
Eligibility Criteria
Viklang Pension Yojana eligibility criteria are explained in detail below:
- Resident of Uttar Pradesh
- Age of the applicant should be between 18 to 26.
- Person with 40% or more disability can apply for Viklang pension.
- Monthly income of the disabled person should be less than Rs.1000
The following persons are not eligible for the pension scheme:
- If a disabled person is receiving any other Pension, he is not eligible for Viklang Pension Yojana.
- Owner of three wheel or four wheel vehicle is not eligible to get the benefit of Viklang Pension Yojana.
- A disabled person working in Government sectors are not covered under Viklang Pension Yojana.
Documents Required
Following documents need to be submitted to get benefits of Viklang Pension Yojana.
Disability certificate
Disability certificate provided by the physician of the Chief Medical Officer, Community Health Centre or Primary Health Centre will be accepted. Certificates issued by trained private practitioners for direct disabilities are also accepted.
In cases of mental depression and hearing impaired disabilities, the certificate of disability certificate given by Ram Manohar Lohia Joint Hospital, Gomtisagar, Lucknow will be accepted.
Income Certificate
Income certificate issued by MP, MLA, Mayor, Chairman of Nagar Panchayats, President of District Panchayats, Tehsildar, Block Development Officer or Village Head will be accepted.
Age Proof
Birth certificate or 10th class certificate can be furnished.
Bank Pass Books
Any bank account can be submitted.
Identity Proof
Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Basement or Ration Card can be used for VPY.
Photo Graphs
Soft copy passport size colour photograph needs to be uploaded. Size of the photograph should be less than 20 KB.
Pension Amount
The eligible disabled person will get a pension of Rs.300 under the Viklang Pension Yojana.
Process of Payment
Viklang Pension Yojana will be provided to disabled in two instalments of 6-6 months. First instalment will start from April to September and the second instalment from October to March.
Applying for Viklang pension Yojana

Step 1: Go to main page of Viklang pension scheme website.
Step 2: Select Apply online option, the link will be redirected to new page.
New Registration
Step 3: Select new entry form option for new pensioner registration.
Note: Keep scanned copy of all your documents in PDF format. (Maximum 100Kb size)
Provide Person Details
Step 4: Enter all your person details such as Name, Gender, Address, Category, Date of birth Identity proof details. Upload photo, age proof document and identity certificate.
Enter bank details
Step 5: Bank name, branch name and account need to be provided for new pensioner registration.
Income Details
Enter monthly income amount of the family. You need to provide BPL list 2002 number and upload income certificate.
Disability Details
In the disability section, you need to provide below mentioned details and upload Disability certificate.
- Type of Disability
- Disability Percentage
- Disability certificate
- Disability certificate Issue date
Save Data
Type the text shown in captcha and click on save data to submit your application.
Acknowledgement slip
After clicking on save button, the application form will be saved successfully; acknowledgement slip with registration number will be generated.
Submit Application Form
You can take print out of this application. Submit all documents along with this application to Grama Sabha in case of rural area and for urban area District Disabled Welfare Office within one month from the date of Final Submit of online Application form.
After verification of application in concern Grama Sabha or District Disabled Welfare office, pension amount will be credited to the beneficiary account in two instalments.
Viklang Pension Status
Select Application status link from home page.
To get the status of the application, you need to register on the portal. Click on register to create a password.
Select scheme name from scroll down button and enter application number, bank account number. Provide the code shown in the box and click on submit to register.
In the application status page, select login to know the status of application option. In the next page, provide application number and password. By clicking on log in with password button, you can get status of Viklang pension application status.
In the new page application status will be displayed.
