To register a partnership firm in Rajasthan, one has to follow the given steps:

Step 1: Making  partnership deed

A partnership deed has to be produced with a mutual understanding between the partners.

Step 2: Print the document

The deed has to be printed on a stamp paper of a minimum of Rs. 500.

Step 3: Payment mode

The stamp duty payment can be made online on the GRAS website.

Step 4: Obtaining the signature

The document has to be signed by all the partners with witnesses on the last page.

Choosing Partnership Name

The partners can choose any desired name for their firms. However, certain norms have to be followed in choosing a name.

  • The name should not be identical or similar to the name of another firm that performs a similar business. This is because the existing firm could lose its reputation and fame.
  • The name should not contain terms like a crown, emperor, empress, empire or words meaning sanction, approval or patronage of government. An exemption can be made when the State Government makes a written permit to use such words as part of the firm name.

Application Procedure

The Rajasthan Government has implemented three ways to register for a partnership firm. It can be done through online method, offline method and CSC centres.

Online Method

An applicant has to log on to the

State Portal

to register online. Once logged in, the applicant will be directed to a new page and then can follow the online procedure.

Offline Method

Step 1: Choosing an appropriate name

The applicant has to make sure that the firm name has not been taken by other firms.

Step 2: Obtaining DPIN and Digital Signature

The applicant has to complete an application for a DPIN and Digital Signature and had to be obtained.

Step 3: Drafting the Main Object

After obtaining the DPIN, the Main Object will be drafted and will be sent to the registrar along with the registration name.

Step 4: Fee Payment

Once the name is approved, the full payment of the fee has to be made.

Common Service Center

In order to apply to a CSC Centre or through e-Mitra, the applicant has to approach a Tahasildar or a Municipality office.
