Pandit Deendayal Graamodyog Rojagaar Yojana

The Uttar Pradesh Government has introduced Pandit Deendayal Graamodyog Rojagaar Yojana which provides financial assistance to the individual entrepreneur in the rural areas. Under this scheme, the eligible entrepreneur will get an assistance of Rs. 25 lakhs for setting up a new enterprise. The banks participating in this scheme are responsible for sanctioning loans as per the guidelines from the Reserve of India (RBI). In this article, we look at the Pandit Deendayal Graamodyog Rojagaar Yojana in detail.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for self-employment assistance under this scheme, a person should possess the following criteria:
  • The applicant should be a native of Uttar Pradesh state to get the benefits under the scheme
  • The age limit of the applicant should be 18-50 years at the time of applying for this scheme
  • The applicant should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination / 10th Board Examination from any recognised educational institution to avail loan above Rs.15 Lakhs

Quantum of Loan

Under the Pandit Deendayal Graamodyog Rojagaar Yojana, all the eligible entrepreneurs will get an assistance of Rs.25 lakhs through loans from banks (except private and cooperative banks) and the remaining 5% of the project has to be self-owned by the entrepreneur.

Documents Required

The following documents are to be furnished along with the application form:
  • Address proof (valid passport, utility bill, property tax bill, etc.) of the applicant
  • Identity proof (PAN card, Aadhar card, etc.) of the applicant
  • Copy of higher secondary mark sheet of the applicant
  • Copy of training certificate 
  • Work site records
  • Work site photograph

Selection of Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries for the Pandit Deendayal Graamodyog Rojagaar Yojana will be selected by the following selection committee:

Selection of Project

All industry and service activities which are identified by the Khadi and Village Industry Commission are eligible for financial assistance under the Pandit Deen Dayal Village Industry Employment program.

Application Procedure

  • The applicant has to propose the District Village Industry Officer in the prescribed loan application form.
  • The District Village industry Officer will list the application form received and arrange an interview to select eligible entrepreneur.
  • The District Village Industry Officer will forward the application form of the selected beneficiaries to the bank within 15 working days.
  • The concerned bank will provide information about the sanction to the District Village industry Officer and the entrepreneur. Then, the bank will disburse the loan.

Training for Entrepreneurs

After the bank sanctions the loan to Divisional Village industry Training Center, the District Village Industry Officer will provide 7 days training on the entrepreneurship to the selected beneficiary. Note: The District Village Industry officer has to remit an amount of Rs.2000/- per trainee to the concerned Divisional Village industry Training Center.
