Under this scheme, the craftsman will receive social security.
A senior craftsman will get a monthly allowance of Rs. 800 per month.
If the age of a craftsman is more than 80 years of age, then he will receive an allowance of Rs. 1,000 per month.

To improve the livelihood of craftsman in the state the government has decided to start Mukhya Mantri Karigar Sahayata Yojana. For successful implementation of Odisha Karigar Sahayata Scheme Directorate of handicrafts will function as the nodal department. The scheme will help conserve the art and culture of the state. It will provide financial security to the craftsman.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to obtain assistance under Mukhya Mantri Karigar Sahayata Yojana is explained in detail below:

It is applicable for the permanent resident of Odisha.
It is applicable for the senior craftsman who has worked for more than ten years as a craftsman can avail this scheme.
It is applicable for the craftsman whose annual income is below Rs.1 lakh.

The prescribed documents are to be furnished along with the application form are mentioned below: Identity Proof: Copy of government-issued Identity card such as Passport /PAN card/ Voter ID card / Driving License/Aadhaar, etc. Address Proof: Copy of government issued ID or recent utility bills. Income Proof: Copy of your income certificate from the revenue department. Photographs: Passport size photograph. Bank Details: Bank Passbook along with bank account details.

Application Procedure for the Mukhya Mantri Karigar Sahayata Yojana

If the eligible applicant wants to apply for the Mukhya Mantri Karigar Sahayata Yojana, then you can get the form of the Scheme by going to the handicrafts office near your area and fill the application form with the required information and then submit the required documents along with the application to the same office. After verified by the concerned officer your application will be accepted.

Beneficiary List

The selection committee will verify all the documents provided by the applicants which are required, and applicants will be registered for the scheme as a beneficiary to receive the monthly allowance. After preparing the beneficiary list, the scheme benefits will be provided through BDOs (block development officers).
