These labourers are forced to work under unhygienic work conditions, with little scope for basic needs like food, water, and shelter. As a measure to curb this situation, the Haryana Government has initiated a new scheme known as Haryana Shramik Panjikaran Abhiyan Scheme, the object of which is to offer an identity card to the labourers for the purpose of granting them a unique identity, as well as for their overall development.
