Bhamashah Yojana Scheme

Bhamashah Yojana scheme was introduced by the Government of Rajasthan for the purpose of transferring financial and non-financial benefits of government schemes to recipients directly. Bhamashah Yojana scheme was inaugurated by chief minister Vasundhara Raje in August 2014.

Features of Bhamashah Yojana

Bhamashah Yojana scheme is designed to help poor women in the state of Rajasthan get benefits from the State Government directly. Benefits and subsidiaries are directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account to reduce corruption or delays. Hence, bank account is a must for receiving assistance under the Bhamashah Yojana Scheme.

  • The scheme would enable the students and handicapped persons to be issued a special card.
  • Both women and men can apply for Bhamashah card. However, men have to pay Rs.20 extra.
  • Bhamashah Yojana offers Rs.30,000 to Rs. 3 lakh as medical insurance.

Bhamashah Card is made in the name of the lady by the Rajasthan government. MGNREGA, pensions, scholarships and ration shops are connected with Bhamashah Yojana from 15th December 2014.

Bhamashah Card is distributed by Gram Sevak, Patwari, Urban ward supervisor and local E-Mitra centers, etc. It is just like a normal ATM card. Rajasthan banks are also providing such cards to those who are holding bank accounts in the state. To get various subsidies that would be provided by the state government, the family must link their card with the bank account.

Eligibility for Bhamashah Yojana

Applicant must be a resident of Rajasthan and should have a bank account under for Bhamashah Card. The Bhamashah card is valid only in Rajasthan state, and BPL card holders are also eligible for this scheme. Following documents must be submitted by the applicant for enrolling under the scheme:

  • Voter identity card
  • Aadhaar card
  • Ration card
  • Pan card
  • Water bill, electricity bill, telephone bill
  • Passport size photo of the applicant
  • Bank account details

Bhamashah Yojana Application Applicant can apply for Bhamashah Yojana through both online and offline mode. For offline enrollment, camps were organized in each Gram Panchayat in the rural area and in each ward in the urban area. Step 1: For online enrollment, visit the official website of the Bhamashah Yojana portal. Step 2: Click on Bhamashah enrollment Step 3: Go to civil registration and fill out essential details such as name, Aadhaar number, mobile number, date of birth etc. Step 4: After filling all the details, applicants need to upload the required documents and then submit it. Step 5: After registered successfully, the applicant needs to visit the nearest bank of your locality for opening a bank account with Bhamashah Card.
