AP YSR Navaratnalu Scheme

The AP Government has initiated a scheme called “YSR Navaratnalu Scheme”. Under this scheme, the State Government intends to provide financial assistance to the farmers, to provide pension timely, to improve the healthcare sector and to provide housing facilities. This scheme has been launched for the welfare of the people. This article explains about the AP YSR Navaratnalu Scheme in detail.

Details of Navaratna Welfare Schemes

The following are the nine navaratna welfare schemes that are explained as below:

YSR Rythu Bharosa 

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) agrees to offer Rs. 50,000 financial aid to the farmers of the state. At the starting of the second year, each farmer family would be provided with Rs. 12,500 per year, in addition to the zero-interest loans and free borewells. The cold storages and food processing sectors in every constituency are among a list of benefits assured to the farmers.

Fee Reimbursement

Many students of the state are helpless to achieve their studies due to a lack of finance. To promote learning and encourage the talented students of the state, the Government has initiated the Fee Reimbursement scheme. Under this scheme, the entire fee of the students will be reimbursed by the AP Government. In addition to the comprehensive fee reimbursement, the students will also get an allowance of Rs. 20,000.

YSR Arogyasri

The Arogyasri scheme aim is to provide quality and free health care to BPL families of the state. The Government has assured to provide free medical treatment above the amount of Rs. 1000 to the patients. This scheme also issues universal health coverage for both urban and rural poor of the Andhra Pradesh State. The medical expenses up to Rs. 5 lakhs would be covered by the Government for the treatment of the patient. 

Jalayagnam

Jalayagnam scheme is beneficial for many families within the state. Under this scheme, the AP Government will go to improve the irrigation projects and complete the plans which are yet in progress. The irrigation projects like Polavaram project will be completed first.

YSR Asara

YSR Asara scheme is to provide financial assistance to the women who are running co-operative societies. The Government is intending to waive off the loans and provide them with a 0% interest loan. Under this scheme, the women whose age is more than 45 years and belongs to SC, ST, BC and Minority Communities.

Ban on Alcohol 

The YSRCP agrees to put in place a ban on the sale of alcohol over the State in three stages.

Amma Vodi 

With a view to supporting the families with school-going children, the YSRCP undertakes to contribute Rs. 15,000 towards assistance to all the parents who send their children to school.

Pedhalandariki Illu

Pedhalandariki Illu scheme aims to provide the houses to the poor people. Under this scheme, the AP Government of the state has vowed to provide financial help to the weaker section for the construction of the house. In five years the Government has agreed to build 25 Lakh houses.

Pension Scheme

Under the Pension scheme, the AP Government will grant the pension to the citizen of the state whose age is more than 60 years. The applicants will receive the monthly pension amount in their bank account. The pension amount is Rs. 2000/- and for the physically challenged citizens it will be Rs. 3000/-. As per the new force soon the pension amount will increase.

The eligible beneficiary must attach the below documents to apply for any of the schemes under the AP YSR Navaratnalu Scheme:

  • Identity Proof: PAN, Aadhaar number, Driving License, Voter Identity Card, etc.
  • Address Proof: Aadhar, legal Passport, Utility bill, Property tax bill, etc.
  • Income Certificate
  • Below Poverty Line Certificate
  • Bank Account Passbook
  • Any other documents (if applicable)

Implementation of the Scheme

AP Navaratnalu Scheme is implemented under the Andhra Pradesh State Kapu Welfare and Development Corporation. The necessary funds to operate this scheme and to meet the financial requirements on behalf of the State Government and its Agencies would also be provided in the budget allocation of the Industries and Commerce Department.

The AP Government is more likely to opt for an online application process for the ease of the applicants.
