West Bengal Widow Pension Scheme
The State Government of West Bengal has initiated the West Bengal widow pension scheme to provide financial assistance for widows of the state. Under the widow pension scheme, the eligible beneficiaries who are residents of West Bengal will receive a monthly pension of an amount of Rs.750 from the State Government.Eligibility Criteria
The applicant applying under this scheme should meet the following eligibility criteria.- The recipient should be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- The recipient's family income should not exceed Rs.1000 per month.
- The recipient should not have financial support from her relations.
Documents Required
The documents that are required to apply for this scheme are as follows- Residence Proof from the Panchayat.
- Proof of income from the Panchayat.
- Death Certificate of the deceased husband.
- Below Poverty Line ration card.
- Aadhar Card.
- Account details of the applicant.
Applying for Widow Pension Scheme
Step 1: The applicant must visit any of the following offices mentioned below to obtain the Application Form (Form-P) for registering under this scheme:- If the applicant resides in rural areas, the office of the Block Development Officer will issue the application form.
- In case the applicant resides outside the areas of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, then the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer of the concerned Panchayat Samity will issue the application form.
- In case the applicant resides within the areas of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, then the office of the controller of West Bengal will issue the application form.
