The road tax in Arunachal Pradesh is imposed and collected by the Transport Department as stated and instructed by the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.

Vehicles over the age of 15 years will be reviewed, and an appropriate charge will be levied for another period considering depreciation. Tax levied on four-wheelers in Arunachal Pradesh

The original cost of the vehicle is taken into consideration when the road tax is calculated in Arunachal Pradesh. Similar to two-wheeler vehicles, this is a one-time tax that would be applicable for a period of 15 years. Vehicles over the age of 15 years will be reviewed, and an appropriate fee will be levied for another period considering depreciation. A depreciation of 7% for each year since the initial purchase and the original cost of the vehicle are used to calculate the new road tax. Payment Procedure

Individuals who require to pay road taxes on their vehicles in Arunachal Pradesh may choose to do so at select branches of State Bank of India. The taxpayer must obtain a challan from the treasury of the bank. This challan should contain the countersignature of the respective EAC. After the challan is completed with precise details, The taxpayer may submit the challan at the bank along with the amount payable for the road tax.
